Welcome to GRAB's Web Site!
GRaffiti ABatement Partners, Inc. (GRAB) is a not-for-profit
private-public partnership. Community, business and government are
working together to eliminate graffiti vandalism in Montgomery County, Maryland,
through eradication, education and enforcement strategies. GRAB,
established in 1996, is the vision of former Councilmembers Betty
Ann Krahnke and Marilyn Praisner.
Graffiti vandalism is a complex behavioral problem
that cannot be addressed by “quick fix” legislative
initiatives alone. GRAB’s focus is two-fold: remove graffiti
immediately and develop long-term strategies to engage both private
and public sectors to target youth susceptible to at-risk behaviors.
This web site will help us achieve both efforts. This
web site features our activities. As well, it is a forum for us
to hear from you. Please notify us when you see graffiti. In your
neighborhood or where you shop or do business, if you observe areas
that attract graffiti and debris, please tell us about them. We’d
like your ideas on how to improve these spaces.
And, we invite your support. GRAB is recognized by
the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.

Together, we can tackle this serious quality of life
problem. GRAB is committed to reducing public disorder by keeping
public and private spaces free of graffiti and debris. A clean and
safe county for residents, businesses and visitors is a win/win.
Thank you.
